Rachel Junkins is 14 years old and in the 9th grade. She has three sisters: Sara, age 11; Hannah, age 8; and Abigail, age 4. Sara and Abigail both have special needs as well. Rachel was born with Arthrogryposis, dislocated hips and club feet. She has had five surgeries. Rachel’s favorite things to do are draw and sing. Rachel had no use of her arms or legs and does all her painting with her mouth! Rachel uses an electric wheelchair that she operates with head controls.

Rachel is also a cheerleader for her high school. Although she cannot perform the stunts, she can cheer with her voice. Rachel even find time to sing in the church choir and perform in plays at her church.

Rachel is a very talented in all she does. Her singing has earned her an invitation to travel to China this summer with Voices United to sing with her high school chorus group. Rachel’s family was unable to raise the funds needed to finance her trip. Rachel has been offered a second chance to make the trip to China next summer if the funds can be arranged to pay for her travel. Please support Angel Boy Art, Inc. in our goal to raise the funds this special young woman needs to make her dream a reality.

Please do not bid if you cannot pay within the 7-day allowed period.  We are experiencing a high number of winning bidders who are not honoring their bids. This is stressful for our artists and their families.

"...Zachery brought in his first painting today and mom started to cry.  She was so proud of him for what he had done.  She said, 'Kati he did it all by himself and named it and came up with the idea!'  It was a very rewarding moment.  I wish you could have been there to share it...."

-From Kati Carbonaro regarding one of her new artists that we are helping to support.
Angel Boy Art, Inc. is proud to support this special group of young artists in Charlotte, North Carolina. Kati Carbonaro, a Behavior Therapist at Siber Imaging, contacted us about a group of special children she works with. "Angel Boy Art is a wonderful resource for our kids to express their emotions and feelings." Kati said. "So many of our children have trouble telling others how they feel and this brings on inappropriate behaviors.  Painting is also a release for our kids to cope with events in their lives that have taken place.  The painting is a stepping stone for our kids to written expression.  Once they have their idea on the canvas they are prompted to express themselves through writing or even verbally."
